KUALA LUMPUR (April 1): Malaysia today recorded 1,178 new Covid-19 cases, down from 1,482 yesterday, bringing cumulative coronavirus infections in the country to 346,678.

Today was the third straight day that new infections stayed above the 1,000 mark.

Sarawak today recorded the highest number of new infections at 238, followed closely by Selangor (237) and Penang (190), according to Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah in a Twitter post.
