Reuters, 1 July – The FTSE 100 in London rose on Thursday as a string of positive earnings reports encouraged investors to look past concerns about rising COVID-19 infections in the UK. After finishing its strongest quarter since 2019, the blue-chip FTSE 100 index gained 0.6 percent. The domestic mid-cap index increased by 0.8 percent.
