Indonesian financial services regulator OJK is planning to step up oversight and supervision of the venture capital and crypto asset classes by appointing two new commissioners. The additions will take the total number of OJK commissioners to 11.

Finance minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati said the appointment of the two new commissioners is part of the mandate of the Omnibus Law, issued on Jan 12, 2023, which aims to strengthen the financial services industry.
