KLCI futures higher in early trade, tracking cash market

KUALA LUMPUR (June 1): The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives was higher in the early trade on Tuesday, in line with the stronger underlying cash market.

At 9.17am, June 2021, July 2021 and Dec 2021 rose four points each to 1,585, 1,585 and 1,566, respectively, while Sept 2021 was 3.5 points better at 1,572.5.

Turnover stood at 665 lots, with open interest at 38,873 contracts.

The benchmark FBM KLCI rose 0.54 of-a-point to 1,584.09 after 24 minutes of trading.
