KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (July 1): According to data released today by the Covid-19 Vaccine Supply Access Guarantee Special Committee (JKJAV), a total of 258,773 Covid-19 vaccine doses were delivered across the country yesterday (June 30), increasing the total doses administered to 8.08 million.
This was greater than the 231,733 vaccination doses given out on June 29.
It’s also the second-highest amount of daily doses given, after just 268,604 jabs given on June 24.
163,756 of the 258,773 vaccination doses given out yesterday were to first-dose patients, with the remaining 95,017 going to second-dose recipients.
The seven-day moving average of Covid-19 immunization in Malaysia increased to 218,455 doses from 217,598 doses the day before, in line with the increase in doses delivered yesterday.

As of yesterday, 2.31 million Malaysians had obtained all of their vaccines, whereas 3.47 million had only received one.

So far, 17.62 percent of Malaysians have received at least one treatment, with 7.04 percent having received all three doses.
More than a million people in Kuala Lumpur had been stabbed at least once.
As of yesterday, 1.02 million people in Kuala Lumpur had gotten at least their first dose, accounting for 57.6% of the city’s population.
Kuala Lumpur is the second territory, after Sarawak, to surpass the one-million mark in terms of total first doses provided.
As of yesterday, Sarawak had vaccinated 1.07 million people, or 38% of its population.
In terms of second doses, Selangor had the most, with 303,050 injections provided, or 4.6 percent of its population, followed by Sarawak, with 250,011 shots administered, or 8.9 percent of its population.
On the other hand, the number of new Covid-19 cases in the country has remained over 6,000, with 6,276 cases reported yesterday, including 2,836 infections in Selangor and 644 in Negeri Sembilan.
The newest confirmed cases were discovered after testing 83,521 persons across the country, marking a 7.51 percent positivity rate.
As a result, active cases increased to 64,129, with daily infections continuing to outnumber recoveries for the sixth day in a row. Malaysia’s Covid-19 tally has risen to 751,979, with 682,680 total recoveries.
A total of 62 deaths have been reported, bringing the total number of deaths attributable to the coronavirus to 5,170.
