KUALA LUMPUR (May 30): The Ministry of Health reported a total of 6,999 new cases today, down from the record high of 9,020 yesterday, with Selangor having the most cases.

According to a tweet by Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, Selangor posted the highest number by state with 2,477 new infections today; followed by Kuala Lumpur (616 cases), Sarawak (513 cases), Johor (433 cases) and Penang (248).

The total cumulative cases in the country now amounts to 565,533.
