KUALA LUMPUR, 30 JUNE: Malaysia is still in Phase One of the Movement Control Order, which is part of the National Recovery Plan (PPN), because the three main threshold value indicators have not yet been met.
Transition to the next phase under the PPN, according to Senior Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, is not based on any certain date.
“Many people are still perplexed and believe we’ve moved on to Phase Two… it’s important to emphasize that we’re still in Phase One.”
“If the three threshold value indicators are met in the short term, the transition to the next phase will be implemented as soon as feasible,” he said today in a statement on the Movement Control Order.
As a result, he reminded the public to follow the standard operating procedure (SOP) for flattening the Covid-19 curve in order to meet all three indications in the near future.
The three indicators are that the number of daily Covid-19 cases has decreased to below 4,000, intensive care unit (ICU) bed usage has moderated, and 10% of the population has got two doses of the vaccine jabs.
