KUALA LUMPUR (May 31): Malaysia’s new daily Covid-19 cases fell to 6,824 today from yesterday’s 6,999, according to Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

Today is the second consecutive day the nation reported a declining trend in new Covid-19 cases, after Malaysia recorded the highest number of cases on Saturday (May 29).

Dr Noor Hisham added that Selangor remained the highest with 2,111 new infections, followed by Kelantan’s 695 and Sarawak’s 654.

Elsewhere, Johor reported 489 new Covid-19 cases, Kedah (464), Kuala Lumpur (387), Melaka (352), Penang (328), Perak (255), Negeri Sembilan (253), Pahang (219), Terengganu (204), Sabah (207), Labuan (166), Putrajaya (28), and Perlis (12).
