KUALA LUMPUR (July 22): Malaysia’s Covid-19 cases jumped to 13,034 today from yesterday’s 11,985, according to Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
This is the second highest daily figure recorded by the country. The highest daily cases were 13,215, reported on July 15.
The biggest number of cases came from Selangor at 6,049, followed by Kuala Lumpur (1,611) and Johor (791).
Other states that reported three-digit cases were Negeri Sembilan (711), Kedah (701), Sarawak (644), Sabah (497), Terengganu (391), Penang (371), Melaka (353), Perak (284), Pahang (261), Kelantan (240) and Putrajaya (100).
Malaysia has reported 964,918 Covid-19 infections since the first case was detected on its shores in January last year.
