KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (July 1): Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister Datuk Dr Mohd Khairuddin Aman Razali stated today that Malaysia, the world’s second-largest palm oil exporter, is suffering a labor shortage of roughly 32,000 individuals owing to coronavirus limitations.
“Unharvested ripe palm oil fruits are expected to incur roughly RM10 billion in losses yearly due to labor shortages,” the minister said at a press briefing./n
