KUALA LUMPUR, 30 JUNE: For the period of July 1 to 7, the retail pricing of RON95 petrol and diesel would stay unchanged at RM2.05 and RM2.15 per litre, respectively.
Meanwhile, RON97’s retail price would rise by two sen per litre, from RM2.67 to RM2.69.
The pricing is based on the weekly retail price of petroleum goods utilizing the Automatic Pricing Mechanism, according to a statement released by the Finance Ministry today (APM).
“To safeguard consumers from the effects of actual oil price increases on the global market, the government has maintained retail pricing of RON95 gasoline and diesel, despite the fact that actual global prices for both products have exceeded the ceiling price set,” according to the statement.
The government will continue to monitor the consequences of fluctuations in global crude oil prices, according to the statement, and will take appropriate actions to ensure the people’s welfare and well-being.
