While its defense and aftermarket work have been the biggest pieces of Spirit AeroSystems Inc.’s portfolio diversification efforts, its work in the market segment synonymous with Wichita also continues to grow. Spirit (NYSE: SPR) rapidly grew its work with business jet manufacturers via its late 2020 acquisition of Bombardier’s aerostructures business. In addition to its Bombardier work, which includes fuselage sections and other components, Spirit also last year added work with Rolls-Royce on the Pearl 10X engine for the Dassault Falcon 10X business jets.
