HANOI: VietJet Aviation, Vietnam’s budget airline, is seeking shareholder approval for plans to sell up to 15% of its stock in a private placement and raise $300 million through an international bond offering, the company announced on Tuesday. VietJet stated in a statement that it expects sales to increase by 20% this year to 21.9 trillion dong (US$951.35 million), and that it will have a shareholders’ meeting later Tuesday.
