KUALA LUMPUR, 14 JULY: This year, 263 Malaysians in Saudi Arabia are eligible to perform the haj, according to Datuk Seri Dr Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs).
Last year, only eight Malaysians were able to perform the haj in the country.
He stated that Tabung Haji (TH) will give all pilgrims with online haj lessons.
“God willing, tomorrow night I will hold an interview with prospective Malaysian pilgrims in the holy city of Makkah Al-Mukarramah,” he announced today on RTM TV1’s Salam Baitullah program.
Following the serious scenario of the Covid-19 pandemic around the world, the Saudi Arabian administration determined that the pilgrimage this season would only be for Saudi citizens and inhabitants of other nations who were in the kingdom.
