PUTRAJAYA, 5 JULY: The Covid-19 vaccine will be administered to 400 workers from Klang Valley factories at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICCindustrial )’s vaccination centre (PPVIN), which opened today.
International SOS (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd manages the PPVIN at the PICC, which is part of the Public-Private Partnership Covid-19 Industry Immunisation Programme (PIKAS) project.
Dr Adrian Seng Fook Wai, head of operations for International SOS (Malaysia), said the PPVIN will be operational for three months, during which time 20,000 patients will receive the vaccine injection, totaling 40,000 doses.
“So far, the immunization procedure has gone without a hitch. More than 60 people are on duty, including volunteers, and we estimate the vaccination capacity to rise to 1,000 people in the second week “After watching the vaccination process at the center today, he told reporters.
He explained that the bulk of the vaccine beneficiaries at the center are factory workers who will be administered the Sinovac vaccine provided by the Putrajaya District Health Centre.
