TOKYO — 7-Eleven and Lawson are poised to open a combined 10,000 new stores in the Asia-Pacific region through the financial year ending in February 2026, Nikkei has learned.

With their home market saturated, Japan’s two biggest convenience chains are accelerating their expansion drives across the rest of Asia, where they intend to tap growing demand from swelling middle-class populations, especially in Southeast Asia.
