Peter Nicholls/REUTERS/FILES (Source: Reuters) Barratt Developments, the UK’s largest housebuilder, hired Mike Scott, the current finance director of Countryside Properties, as its chief financial officer on Tuesday. Jessica White, who will depart FTSE 100-listed Barratt at the end of June for personal reasons, will be replaced by Scott, who formerly worked in finance at supermarket group Sainsbury. Because Scott’s start date has yet to be determined, Chief Executive Officer David Thomas, who served as Barratt’s CFO for six years prior to White’s appointment, will assume temporary responsibility for finance. In a separate statement, Countryside Properties acknowledged Scott’s resignation and said it was beginning a search for his replacement, but it did not provide a departure date.
