Concerns concerning the recent spike in COVID-19 instances across the United States are being blamed for a broad stock market selloff, with all 65 components of the three primary Dow Jones stock averages losing ground Monday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, -2.27 percent fell 751 points, or 2.2 percent, with all 30 components down, led by Boeing Co.’s stock BA, -5.00 percent and Dow Inc.’s stock DOW, -3.53 percent, which fell 4.8 percent and 3.7 percent, respectively.
The Dow Jones Transportation Average DJT, -1.54 percent plummeted 1.6 percent as all 20 members declined, led by United Airlines Holdings Inc.
