REUTERS/File Photo/Pascal Rossignol Reuters, LONDON, July 9 – Amazon (AMZN.O) has named Tony Hoggett, a former executive at Tesco (TSCO.L), to head its physical stores, the company announced on Friday. Hoggett has spent over 31 years with Tesco, the UK’s largest supermarket, and is currently the company’s top strategy and innovation director. Hoggett will join Amazon as senior vice president of physical stores in January 2022, reporting to Dave Clark, the company’s global consumer business’s CEO. “We’ll put together a plan for Tony’s transition to Amazon over the next two months,” Clark said in a statement.
