Stocks somewhat rose to close out the first week in June. The May jobs report came in a lot better than April’s. However, it was still somewhat below estimates. Compared to the disappointing 266,000 added in April, May added 559,000 jobs. The Dow Jones projected 671,000 to be added. Meanwhile, the unemployment rate fell to 5.8% from 6.1%, which was better than the forecasted 5.9%. This comes on the heels of yesterday’s jobless claims report, which came in at its lowest level since the start of the pandemic. Based on this data, bond yields dipped, and the Dow Jones rose 80 points, the S&P 500 jumped 0.4%, and the Nasdaq
NDAQ
moved 0.5% higher. For investors looking to find the best opportunities, the deep learning algorithms at Q.ai have crunched the data to give you a set of Top Buys.
