Reuters VinFast, a Vietnamese company, has begun operations in North America and Europe. Vinfast, Vietnam’s first homegrown automaker, announced on Monday that it has opened offices in North America and Europe, joining a competitive field of firms vying for customers with smart electric vehicles. When its gasoline-powered vehicles made under its own logo reached the streets in 2019, VinFast, a unit of Vietnam’s largest conglomerate Vingroup JSC, became the country’s first fully fledged local automobile manufacturer.
