KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (July 9): Prestariang Systems Sdn Bhd (PSSB), a wholly-owned subsidiary of AwanBiru Technology Bhd (Awantec), has won an RM22.78 million contract from the Ministry of Education (MOE) to deliver G Suite Enterprise For Education software to Malaysian public schools.
Awantec said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today that the three-year contract will begin today (July 9, 2021).
“The details of the transaction will be contained in a formal contract to be negotiated between both parties,” Awantec said. “MOE issued the Surat Setuju Terima (approval letter) to PSSB on July 8, 2021.”
Prestariang Bhd was the previous name of Awantec.
Awantec’s share price jumped 3.5 sen, or 4.22 percent, to 86.5 sen at 2.38pm today, valuing the company at RM682.18 million.
Awantec has 788.65 million shares in circulation.
