Reuters, MEXICO CITY, July 1 – On Thursday, Governor of the Bank of Mexico Alejandro Diaz de Leon expressed his expectation that the trillions of dollars pumped into the US economy will provide an opportunity to improve Mexico’s sluggish investment. “The US expenditure is likely to sustain an atypical rate of growth in the US for some years,” Diaz de Leon said at S&P Global Ratings’ global emerging markets virtual conference. “I hope that creates an opportunity to profit from that stimulus and change… the relatively weak investment trend” in Mexico.
