Another luxury house owned by known sex offender Jeffrey Epstein is being sold by his estate. According to the Wall Street Journal, Zorro Ranch, which contains a 30,000-square-foot home on around 7,500 acres in New Mexico, will be asking $27.5 million. There are numerous other homes on the property, as well as an airfield with a hangar and helicopter and a tennis court. It’s roughly a half-hour drive from Santa Fe in Stanley.

The main house is three stories tall and features an indoor pool, a library, and views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Additional homes, including a yurt, log cabin, and guesthouse, as well as a greenhouse, equestrian facility, and private firehouse, are set in a tiny village on the site.

The ranch was purchased by the disgraced businessman in 1993. Nearly 7,600 acres of privately held land are included, as well as 423 acres leased from the federal Bureau of Land Management. The federal government may be allowed to lease 1,000 more acres of grazing area to the new owner. According to Realtor.com® data, the home’s property taxes are roughly $112,000 per year. According to the real estate agency organizing the sale, the proceeds will go to Epstein’s victims, tax officials, and creditors. Epstein’s whole estate was valued at over $210 million in March, according to an attorney working for the estate. In 2019, Epstein committed suicide in prison.

Despite the high-end facilities and hot housing market, the ranch’s association with a loathed and convicted sex offender makes it unlikely that it will sell for anywhere near the asking price. Epstein’s Manhattan townhouse, which was originally offered for $88 million, sat on the market for eight months until finally selling for $51 million in May. His infamous Palm Beach, FL villa, where he was accused of rapping teenage women, was listed for over $22 million but fell under contract last fall for closer to $18 million. Soon later, the Florida property was demolished by the new owner, a real estate developer, to make space for a new mansion to be built in its place.
