According to the latest odds on PredictIt, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has a slight advantage over Donald Trump in winning the Republican presidential nomination in 2024. DeSantis has a 28 percent probability of winning, ahead of Trump’s 25 percent and Nikki Haley, the former US ambassador to the United Nations, who has an 8 percent chance, as well as other Republican candidates with a 6 percent or lower chance.
According to PredictIt’s research, Trump had the upper hand over DeSantis for the majority of May and June. However, his chances have dwindled this week as his company and his finance head appeared to be on the verge of being charged with alleged tax breaches relating to privileges provided to top executives by the Trump Organization.
