KUALA LUMPUR (July 6): At lunchtime, the Bursa Malaysia index was slightly higher, owing to ongoing buying pressure in the broader market. From Monday’s finish of 1,532.36, the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) climbed 1.27 points to 1,533.63 at 12.30pm.
During the morning session, the market bellwether opened 0.44 of a point lower at 1,531.92 and traded between 1,531.7 and 1,536.47.
Gainers outnumbered losers 492 to 401 on the broader market, with 417 counters unchanged, 862 untraded, and eight others suspended.
The company sold 4.45 billion units worth RM2.24 billion.
Petronas Chemicals Group Bhd rose two sen to RM8.12, while Tenaga Nasional Bhd remained unchanged at RM9.73. Malayan Banking Bhd fell three sen to RM8.10, Public Bank Bhd and CIMB Group Holdings Bhd both down one sen to RM4.11 and RM4.60, IHH Healthcare Bhd fell six sen to RM5.56, while Hong Leong Bank Bhd dropped four sen to RM18.76.
Serba Dinamik Holdings Bhd gained 2.5 sen to 51 sen, Euro Holdings Bhd gained 15 sen to RM1.16, Widad Group Bhd gained 2.5 sen to 42 sen, Kumpulan Jetson Bhd and MMAG Holdings Bhd remained flat at 55.5 sen and 14 sen, respectively, while Metronic Global Bhd lost 1.5 sen to six sen and Sapura Energy Bhd fell half a
