KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (July 6): CB Industrial Product Holding Bhd (CBIP) said today that its wholly-owned subsidiary PalmitEco Engineering Sdn Bhd (PESB) had resumed manufacturing operations at its Telok Panglima Garang plant after receiving an approval letter from the Ministry of Health on July 2, but had to close again the next day when the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) was imposed.
PESB had temporarily ceased operations, according to a bourse filing, when the stricter limitations were issued for July 3-16.
“To protect the safety and health of all personnel, the company will continue to implement and practice strict standard operating procedures advised by the authorities,” it stated.
After 26 workers tested positive for Covid-19, CBIP announced on June 28 that PESB was conducting a second temporary shutdown of its manufacturing facility from June 21 to July 4.
CBIP closed at RM1.23 today, up one sen or 0.82 percent, valuing the company at RM597.04 million.
