SHANGHAI – China’s Ministry of Commerce slammed the US Department of Commerce for adding 23 Chinese businesses to a commercial blacklist for alleged human rights violations on Sunday. The inclusion of Chinese corporations, according to the Chinese ministry, is a “severe infringement of international economic and trade standards” and a “unreasonable suppression” of Chinese businesses.
The statement stated that China “would take necessary actions to safeguard China’s lawful rights and interests.”
