BEIJING – China’s market regulator said on Thursday that it had urged E-commerce platform companies such as Alibaba’s Taobao and Pinduoduo to remove online businesses selling bogus quality reports off their sites immediately. The State Administration of Market Regulation said in a statement that it has also requested local regulators in Shanghai municipality and Zhejiang province, where Pinduoduo and Alibaba respectively have their headquarters, to inspect quality testing facilities.
