KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (July 9): In a statement released today, the Prime Minister’s Office stated that cooperation with health, economic, and social experts will be bolstered in the country’s fight against the Covid-19 pandemic to ensure the success of public health measures and patient management techniques. The alliance also aims to ensure that the government’s immunization campaign is examined and refined on a regular basis.
According to the announcement, Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin presided over the first meeting of the Special Cabinet Committee on the National Recovery Plan (JKKPPN), which was held via video conference today.
“The government’s continued endeavor to ensuring its policy remains on track includes the involvement of professionals, particularly public health and economic experts in managing the Covid-19 pandemic in the country,” the statement stated.
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, Senior Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein, Senior Education Minister Datuk Dr Radzi Jidin, Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz, Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Khairy Jamaluddin, and Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba were also in attendance at the meeting.
Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali, the Chief Secretary to the Government, and Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, the Director-General of Health, were also present.
According to the PMO, the government recognizes the people’s current challenges and hardships, and will continue to guarantee that all activities made under the National Recovery Plan (PPN) prioritize the people’s welfare while also being transparent and inclusive.
