Another six Covid-19 cases linked to variants of concern (VOC) were detected in Malaysia from June 20 to 22, raising the total number of VOC cases to 173. Five of the new VOC cases were linked to the Beta variant (B.1.351), also known as the South Africa variant, with two cases reported in Penang, and one each in Sabah, Kedah and Perlis, said Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
