PUTRAJAYA (July 16): -A +A PUTRAJAYA (July 16): Covid-19 immunization for taxi and e-hailing drivers, as well as p-hailing riders, has commenced, with over 50,000 people involved in the program, according to Transport Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.
He stated in a Facebook post today that the Transport Ministry had been receiving the list of names from the respective operators and organizations since mid-June, and that the first batch included 41,488 taxi and e-hailing drivers and 11,527 p-hailing riders.

In response to Segambut Member of Parliament Hannah Yeoh’s plea to speed up the vaccination process for the group, he stated the Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF) will notify eligible recipients of their immunization schedule.
An additional list of 57,931 p-hailing riders was also given to CITF for evaluation, according to Wee.
He also stated that the ministry intends to vaccinate over 300,000 public transportation drivers in the Klang Valley, including p-hailing riders, as soon as feasible.
