1 Minute Read by Reuters Staff Reuters, LONDON, July 2 – According to its president, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has agreed on a work plan for growth into Sub-Saharan Africa and intends to make a decision in 2022. “Governors also gave us the green light and agreed on a work plan to continue the exploratory work on possible limited and incremental expansion into Sub-Saharan Africa and Iraq,” Odile Renaud-Basso said at a press conference on the final day of the EBRD’s annual meeting this week, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary. She said that the bank’s board of governors had also decided not to conduct any further public-sector projects in Belarus, but that private-sector operations will continue.
