What Happened: Musk took to X, formerly Twitter, to express his disapproval of New York’s policy. “New York taxes citizens and gives the money to illegals,” he said.
Earlier, Musk seemed to agree with Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), who said, “Democrats are giving out gift cards and free money to illegal aliens. Where’s the leadership?”
Musk responded, saying it “Doesn’t make sense.”

Why It Matters: This isn’t the first time Musk has voiced his concerns over immigration policies.
