KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (July 3): Following an increase in Covid-19 instances in the affected districts, the government has announced the application of the enhanced movement control order (EMCO) in numerous new communities in Negeri Sembilan, Sabah, Kedah, Pahang, and Kelantan.
From July 5 to 18, the EMCO will be implemented in Taman Desaria, Seremban in Negeri Sembilan, as well as Taman Bandar Baru Sungai Lalang, Taman Lembah Permai, and the Batu Arang industrial area (including Taman Cahaya PKNK) in Kedah, according to Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
In Sabah, the EMCO will be imposed for the same duration in Taman Zifa, Bingkul, Beaufort, and Kampung Simpangan, Kota Marudu, and in Kelantan, Kampung Bukit Tanah, Mukim Bukit Jawa, Pasir Puteh.
The EMCO in Mukim Kuala Kuantan 2, Pahang, on the other hand, will take effect tomorrow (July 4) and last until July 17.
Meanwhile, he announced that the EMCO in Kelantan’s Taman Merbau Utama, Mukim Bukit Jawa, Selinsing, Pasir Puteh, which was set to conclude tomorrow, has been extended until July 18.
EMCO in Kampung Rancangan Silabukan Peringkat 4, Lahad Datu, and Phases 1 and 2 of Taman Digot, Penampang, and Kampung Nelayan, Batu 10, Sandakan in Sabah will be removed tomorrow, according to Ismail Sabri.
