SEREMBAN (10 JULY): Following the implementation of the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) in the Seremban district, several main roads in Nilai areas bordering the districts of Jelebu, Port Dickson, and Kajang, Selangor, have been closed since yesterday.
Supt Mohd Fazley Ab Rahman, Nilai district police head, said the administrative area of the Nilai District Police Headquarters consists of four sub-districts: Labu, Lenggeng, Pantai, and Setul.
“The police, in collaboration with the Seremban District Disaster Management Committee, have agreed to perform roadblocks on many important highways in the district and state borders, and will strengthen Op Patuh operations in regions under the EMCO,” he said in a statement today.
The deployment of EMCO, according to Mohd Fazley, was intended at restricting resident movement in all of the sub-districts concerned, as well as preventing the spread of Covid-19.
The EMCO that was imposed on the entire district of Seremban went into force yesterday and will remain in effect until July 22.
