KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (July 2): According to Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani, residents in Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) districts are allowed to travel three in a car, including the driver, to get a Covid-19 immunization or seek medical assistance.
Residents just need to present proof of the appointment to security personnel on duty in the field, according to him, by using the MySejahtera app, online page, or SMS message.
“Approval to travel will be issued on a case-by-case basis for emergency instances such as sickness or death,” he said in a statement.
Acryl Sani urged Malaysians to follow the National Recovery Plan’s Phase One movement control standard operating procedure and do their share to help flatten the Covid-19 infection curve.
From tomorrow until July 16, the EMCO will be imposed in most sections of Selangor and certain areas of Kuala Lumpur, according to the government.
