FGV Holdings Bhd has appointed Datuk Mohd Rafik Shah Mohamad as an independent and non-executive director, with effect from today.
FGV noted in a bourse filing that Mohd Rafik was a former director of Nestle (Malaysia) Bhd and ex-chairman of Malaysian Agrifood Corp and Biotropics Malaysia Bhd.
According to the plantation firm, Mohd Rafik, 77, has more than 33 years of expertise in the food business, where he previously held numerous senior managerial roles.
FGV’s stock fell one sen, or 0.76 percent, to RM1.30 today, with 3.75 million shares changing hands. This puts the company’s worth at RM4.74 billion.
