Reuters, FRANKFURT, July 9 – The European Central Bank said on Friday that four euro zone banks that recently came under its supervision passed a stress test that revealed no capital deficiencies. The banks – Cassa Centrale Banca (CNFZDB.UL) and Iccrea Banca S.p.A in Italy, Luminor Bank AS in Estonia, and Siauliu bankas in Lithuania – have all been recognized as important institutions, with local authorities handing over oversight to the ECB. “The full examination reveals that none of the four banks face any capital deficiencies,” the ECB said in a statement. “They did not fall below the relevant criteria used in the asset quality review and the stress test.” Balazs Koranyi contributed reporting, and Richard Chang edited the piece.
