Reuters reported late Monday that citizens of the United Kingdom, India, Portugal, and Russia can now travel to Germany and be quarantined for ten days upon arrival.
“If they test negative for COVID-19, the quarantine period can be lowered to five days,” Reuters noted.
“Travelers from the four nations were forbidden from entering Germany prior to the change in classification,” according to the report, “unless they were residents, in which case they had to quarantine for 14 days upon arrival.”
“Japan is preparing to prolong its coronavirus quasi-state of emergency in Tokyo and three adjacent prefectures a little more than two weeks ahead of the commencement of the Olympic Games,” the Nikkei newspaper reported.
