KUALA LUMPUR, 15 JULY: According to Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz, registration for new Prihatin Special Grant (GKP) 4.0 applications will be open online from today until July 31.
“With this new registration process, several micro, small, and medium enterprises (SMEs) that were previously denied clearance and did not receive GKP will be able to resubmit their applications for verification.
“Businesses who meet the micro SME criteria and are additionally registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia, local authorities, or the Inland Revenue Board as of June 30, 2021 are eligible for GKP 4.0,” he said in a statement today.
Payments under the RM1 billion GKP 4.0 allocation, according to Tengku Zafrul, would be made in September (RM500) and November (RM500) this year to both current GKP recipients and accepted new applicants.
There is no need to reapply if you are a current GKP recipient.

Since the Covid-19 pandemic began, a total of RM6.1 billion has been or will be channeled through GKP to nearly one million micro SMEs.
“The administration is hopeful that continued direct aid to tiny SMEs will relieve their burden,” he added.
