SINGAPORE — Google will explore new markets in the Asia-Pacific region, focusing on generative artificial intelligence technology, said Scott Beaumont, the U.S. tech giant’s Asia Pacific president, in an exclusive interview with Nikkei Asia.

“There’s this kind of pivot in understanding that Asia is where the opportunity is,” said Beaumont, explaining where Asia lies in Google’s global strategy. “Asia is where we can learn from,” he added.
