1 Minute Read by Reuters Staff (Reuters) – PARIS, June 30 (Reuters) – Despite the threats posed by a comeback of the COVID-19 virus, Bank of France governor and European Central Bank member Francois Villeroy de Galhau predicted that the French economy would rise by 5.75 percent in 2021. Since COVID limits were not as stringent as before, Villeroy de Galhau told Europe 1 radio that he was certain France could achieve this level of economic development. This, in turn, was supporting business and trade, as well as consumer spending.
