NEW YORK — Record-setting stock rallies in the U.S. and Japan, and growth elsewhere in Asia’s emerging markets, are fueling investor optimism for the global economy despite China’s ongoing slump.

Expectations for global growth are the highest in two years, and for the first time since April 2022, investors are not predicting a recession in the next 12 months, according to Bank of America’s global fund manager survey for February.
