Applications for hopeful tenants will open on 20 April this year.
The Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) has launched its new smart living and co-creation space, InnoCell, intended to boost the City’s innovation and technology (I&T) potential.
InnoCell, located at Hong Kong Science Park, seeks to provide an ideal environment for living and innovation for (I&T) talents from Hong Kong and across the globe.
“InnoCell represents a major step forward in our ambition to build a vibrant I&T ecosystem for Hong Kong which brings together talent, culture and infrastructure in an environment geared for innovation,” Albert Wong, CEO of HKSTP, said.
Applications for InnoCell will be open between 20 April and 21 May. Individuals, whose applications are approved, may move in from July 2021 onwards.
With 17 storeys, InnoCell provides residential units with flexible designs and affordable rent. In particular, it offers four room types: the Solo, Twin, Suite and the Powerhub, which are open to founders and workers of companies within the HKSTP business park, as well as others professionals and technology talent.
The space, developed and built by Hip Hong Construction, provides 30,000 square feet of tailored communal facilities. It has more than 390 units of studios and suites and over 500 bed spaces.
HKSTP noted the high-rise building is the first to use innovative modular integrated construction methodology in Hong Kong, earning it international recognition.
Further, its communal and private living spaces have also been integrated with smart living technologies, developed in partnership with Chevalier Network Solution, HSBC and JLL.
Through the InnoCell Living app by Chevalier, tenants may access the facilities and services of the co-creation space. They may also complete transactions with an e-payment system, powered by HSBC. JLL, for their part, delivered an array of hospitality management services.
