Logistics firm Pidge has raised a pre-Series A funding of $3 million led by Mountain Partners. Separately, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners has partnered with Viviid Renewables.

Mountain Partners leads Pidge’s pre-Series A round

Pidge on Monday said it has raised a pre-Series A funding of $3 million led by Europe-based venture capital firm Mountain Partners.

The round also saw participation from existing investor Indian Angel Network.

Founded in 2019 by Rushil Mohan and Ratnesh Verma, Pidge said it will use the fresh funds to expand the company’s logistics SaaS solution.

CIP, Viviid to develop onshore wind projects

Danish investment firm Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) on Monday said it has partnered with India-based company Viviid Renewables to develop more than 1.8GW of renewable energy capacity in India.

The partnership will initially focus on the development of two onshore wind projects with a combined capacity exceeding 500MW, with additional projects expected to be developed and constructed through the successor Copenhagen Infrastructure New Markets Fund I (CI NMF funds).

Founded in 2012, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners claims to manage 10 funds and has to date (March 2023) raised about 19 billion euros for investments in energy and associated infrastructure from more than 140 international institutional investors.

“This is the second CI NMF I partnership in the Indian renewable energy market, reflecting India’s continuing importance as a key focus area for the fund,” Peter Sj?ntoft, Associate Partner at CIP, said.
