DELHI, NEW DELHI: According to preliminary industry figures released on Friday, gasoline sales in India’s state fuel merchants surpassed pre-pandemic levels in the first fortnight of July, increasing by 3.44 percent over the same period in 2019. According to the figures, between July 1 and 15, fuel dealers sold nearly 1.03 million tonnes of gasoline.
Gasoil sales, at around 2.49 million tonnes, were 10.7% lower than in the same period last year, according to the data.
