PUTRAJAYA (July 9): Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob arrived at the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office in Perdana Putra today to begin his duties as the country’s number two leader.
Ismail Sabri, dressed in a blue suit, arrived at the Perdana Putra compound at 10 a.m. and was greeted by Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali, Chief Secretary to the Government, and Senior Deputy Secretary-General of the Prime Minister’s Department, Datuk Jamil Rakon.
On Wednesday (July 7), Ismail Sabri, 61, was named deputy prime minister while continuing to serve as Defense Minister.
After logging into his Level 4 office, he signed the Welcome Book before attending the National Security Council (NSC) Emergency Session meeting, which was held remotely with Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and headed by Integrity Officer of the Prime Minister’s Department Muhd Redza Ahmad.
