KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (July 5): Following the distribution of a video reportedly defaming Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, his political secretary has filed a police report against the administrator of the Facebook account known as ‘Lokman Adam.’
After watching the hour-long video at around 11 a.m. yesterday, Datuk Syed Mohd Fazmi Sayid Mohammad filed a report at the Dang Wangi District Police Headquarters at approximately 2.30 p.m. today.
According to Syed Mohd Fazmi, the video posted on the Facebook account said that Ismail Sabri, who is also the vice-president of UMNO, was attempting to persuade other UMNO MPs to run for Bersatu in the 15th General Election if they were not chosen by the party.
“After reviewing the video’s contents, I clearly found that the account’s owner had slandered Ismail Sabri from the third minute to the end of the video,” he said after filing the report.
When contacted, ACP Mohamad Zainal Abdullah, the chief of the Dang Wangi District Police, verified receiving the allegation./n
