Brembo, based in Italy, announced on Monday that it would create its first high-tech lab in Silicon Valley, California, to speed up the company’s digitisation, which was one of the primary objectives of a strategy revealed in September. Brembo’s ‘Inspiration Lab,’ according to a release, will focus on enhancing the company’s competence in software development, data science, and artificial intelligence.
The facility is set to open in the fourth quarter of this year, with the goal of attracting talent from a variety of industries, “favoring the virtuous combination of numerous capabilities to benefit the development of Brembo’s new brake solutions,” according to the company.
“We’re entering and investing in this world-renowned center for high technology and innovation with the clear and ambitious goal of addressing the enormous difficulties confronting the automotive industry,” said CEO Daniele Schillaci.
